JGRewards by JGAI · Last updated 31 August 2026
JGRewards is a loyalty rewards programme built and run by JG AI Research & Development Pvt Ltd (“JGAI”), working with regional partners: BRJU InfoSec Inc across North America, and IA7 GlobalTech across the EU and UK. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
JGRewards membership
There are two ways to be part of JGRewards, and they are handled differently.
As a member of a store's program — you joined at a store, and that store holds your details and decides how its program runs.
As a JGRewards member — when you enter your phone number in the JGRewards app, we create a membership for you so that you have a member code you can use at any participating store. For this record, JGRewards is responsible for your information rather than any store. It holds only your phone number, your member code, the date you joined, and a name or email address if you choose to add one. No store can see this record until you join that store.
You can ask us to delete your JGRewards membership at any time using the contact details below, and we will remove it. Deleting it does not remove records held by stores you have joined; those are requested from the store, or from us on their behalf.
What we collect
When you join a store's rewards program we collect your phone number, and optionally your name, email address and birthday. As you use the program we record your points balance, visits, check-ins, rewards redeemed, and prizes won at the stores you visit.
Verifying your phone number
To prove a phone number belongs to you, we can send a one-time code to it by text message. We use Twilio, a messaging provider in the United States, to send that message. Twilio receives your phone number in order to deliver the code and handles it as a processor on our behalf. We do not send them your name, your email address, your points or anything about where you shop.
Your mobile provider's usual charges for receiving a text may apply. We do not charge you for verification.
Once verified, you see more of your own information — your full email address rather than a partly hidden one, and the full detail of your history. Until a number is verified we deliberately show less, because anybody who knows a phone number can open the app with it.
Verification is not yet required everywhere. If you believe someone has created a JGRewards membership using your number, contact us and we will remove it.
Your country and location
We ask which country you are in, and you can change or clear it at any time in the app under Profile. It is used for one thing: deciding which partner offers are worth showing you, so you are not sent discounts for shops on another continent. If you do not tell us, we show you everything rather than nothing.
Your location never leaves your phone. The app can sort shops by how close they are, and that calculation happens on your own device. We do not receive your location, we do not store it, and it is never attached to your membership or shared with shops or partners. There is no record of where you have been, because none is ever created.
Nothing happens unless you ask. The app only requests your location when you tap Show what's nearest, and your phone then asks your permission in its own prompt. If you refuse, the shop list simply stays in its normal order — nothing else changes, and you are not asked again unless you tap it again. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your phone's settings.
What we do hold is the address of each participating shop, which is business information rather than personal information. Your phone compares your position to those addresses locally and shows you the distance.
Member offers and coupons
Members can see discount codes from partner brands. When you tap to reveal a code we record that you did so, and when. We use this to understand which offers members find useful.
We do not share your name, phone number or email with those partners. If we tell a partner how their offer performed, we tell them how many members revealed the code, not who they were. Using a code takes you to the partner's own website, where their privacy policy applies rather than ours.
We cannot see whether you actually made a purchase. We only know that you asked to see the code.
Your member number
Every member is given a permanent number such as JG-4X7K2. It is yours for as long as you are a member, it does not change, and it is what ties your membership together across every shop you join.
It is generated at random and is not derived from your phone number, your name, or anything else about you, so it reveals nothing if someone sees your card. It is not a government or national identity number, we never ask you for one, and your member number on its own cannot be used to open your account.
How we use it
Your information is used only to run the loyalty program: to award and track points, let you redeem rewards, show your balance in the app, and let the stores you visit recognize you. We do not sell your personal information.
Who can see it
Each store can see the customers and activity for that store. When you open the app and enter your phone number, you see your own points across the stores where you are a member. We do not share your information with unrelated third parties.
Companies that process data for us
We use a small number of providers to run the service. They act on our instructions, may only use what we send them to do the job we ask, and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Supabase — hosts the database holding your membership and your shop records. United States.
- Vercel — serves the app and website. United States.
- Twilio — sends verification codes by text message. Receives only the phone number being verified. United States.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
Data storage
Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database with access restricted to the JGRewards service. Communication with our servers is encrypted in transit. Our servers are in the United States, so if you are in the European Union your information is transferred outside the EU.
How long we keep it
We keep your JGRewards membership for as long as you are a member. If you delete it, the membership and its details are removed straight away — see deleting your account. We retain only a one-way scrambled form of your phone number, so that a membership you asked to remove is not recreated automatically. It cannot be turned back into your number.
Records held by the shops you joined, including your points and visits, are kept by those shops for as long as they run their programme, and for longer where accounting or tax law requires it. A shop can delete its record of you at your request.
Records of which coupon codes you viewed are deleted with your membership.
Your choices
You can ask a participating store to update or delete your information at any time; store owners can remove a customer record on request. To have your data removed entirely, contact us using the details below.
Children
JGRewards is intended for adults and general retail customers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
